- About Me:
- I grew up in an era when people with disabilities had few options available to them. There were no lws guaranteeing people with disabilities rights to an education, therefore, my teachers did not understand that CP affects how the brain processes information or that I learn differently
I grew up in a dysfunctional family where there was a lot of physical, emotional, and verbal abuse. Due to both these issues as a child I had low self esteem. It was only after entering college and studying in the Mental Health and Psychology did I learn to change my mindset and learn to believe in myself.
I have an AAS in Mental Health, BS in Psychology, credits towards a MS in Rehabilitation Counseling. I attended Toastmasters and received both the CTM and ATM certifications. As a member of NSA-GA-Chapter I participated in their mentoring program and put together a speech Success is my Only Option! I atended the ASLA Univesity and hold the Certified Seminar Leader (CSL) certification.
